Natalie and Nicole met and became friends while in high school, and bonded over their mutual love of fashion, romantic comedies and boys (they were 13!). When they each had children and went on maternity leave at a similar time, they decided to put their passion for motherhood, spending time with their kids and their knowledge of baby products to use. They now have the distribution rights to Babymel in Australia and New Zealand.  They want to make a difference to everyday lives for pregnant women, mothers and fathers and are passionate about distributing innovative baby products which give mothers the confidence to look amazing and feel equally as good.

Babymel was born in 2006 to founders Mel and Suzi. After becoming mothers, they were both seeking a lifestyle that would allow them to grow a business without having to compromise time spent with their growing families. Submerged in the parenting world, they found a gap for a range of changing bags with a modern aesthetic for a new generation of parents. Not only do they come ready to go with all the essentials needed when out and about but are made to be incredibly durable and great value for money.

Today, not only is the brand known and trusted by parents throughout the globe, Mel and Suzi themselves have built a reputation as the people to come to for beautiful and well thought out products.

We love babies, but one day our babies will grow up and we want to make sure the planet is nice place for them to live. That is why we are committed to making sustainable choices wherever we can, including not only sustainable choices for the planet, but sustainable choices for the people in our business and our working partners. Production

All our products are made to be durable and long lasting, we have had feedback from customers who have used our bags with multiple children and STILL love using them everyday. We manufacture our products in small batches. This allows us to closely control the quality of our products and rectify any issues quickly. Small batch production also massively helps to reduce waste from over production and stops unwanted stock ending up in landfill.

Materials

In 2019 we launched our first collection made from recycled materials. The material has been re-manufactured from plastic bottles, turning a piece of rubbish into an item that can be used for years to come. All our materials are made and sourced to ensure that they do not contain any nasty chemicals and all the treatments used on the materials are environmentally friendly. We do not use leather on our products and use vegetarian glues, so all our products are animal friendly.
